At the Museum, part of our mission is to introduce children to world cultures through exhibits and STREAM activities. Culture can include language, history, scientific discoveries, geography, animals, art, and so much more! Here's an activity you can do today from your own home.
Country of the day: Brazil
Brazil is the largest country in South America and is home to the Amazon Rainforest. The Amazon is the largest rainforest in the world and houses some of the most animals in the world! Scientists say that there are around 40,000 plant species, 1,300 bird species, 3,000 types of fish, 430 mammals, and 2.5 million different insects in the Amazon! Some of these animals are deadly - like the poison dart frog, piranha, and jaguar. Learn all about the amazing animals in the Amazon by playing out Brazil Board Game below.
