Meet the Teachers!
Ms. Melissa

Ms. Melissa has been teaching children with and without special needs in a variety of settings since 2011. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Santa Clara University and a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in early childhood education and special interests in arts integration and culturally responsive teaching from Lesley University. Ms. Melissa’s favorite parts of working at the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum are interacting with children and families and observing the joy of learning as they explore the exhibits. When she is not at the Museum, Ms. Melissa enjoys crafting and spending time with her husband and two teenage children.
Ms. Ari

Ms. Ari is a creative and optimistic educator. She grew up in Chicago and later moved to San Diego with her family. Ms. Ari is now an educator at the Museum, and she loves teaching and interacting with kids. When she’s not teaching, she loves to spend time with her family, reading, and going on road trips.
