Visitor Experience Lead

Position Overview
The Visitor Experience Lead is responsible for organizing and coordinating resources (personnel and supplies) for optimal visitor experience and operational efficiency; Leading Visitor Services team, through training, coaching and supporting the needs of the team; Overseeing the Give Shop: sales orders and budgeting. The Visitor Experience Lead position will report to the Director of Museum Experience and Human Resources.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain the standard of excellence in visitor service for all museum visitors, partners, staff, and affiliates
- Provide regular support, feedback, training, and coaching on all aspects of customer service, sales, safety, policies and procedures to Visitor Services Associates
- Ensure accurate and timely communication amongst Visitor Services Team; orchestrate daily morning meetings, oversee end-of-day summary email, schedule monthly team meetings
- Proficient in all operational policies, sales processes, and Altru functionalities
- Manage cash drawer processes and uphold accountability
- Uphold standards for cleanliness, organization, maintenance, and quality; monitor all areas for physical appearance and functionality
- Maintain inventory of regular consumable items; anticipate order needs
- Maintain Give Shop inventory
- Assist in Give Shop merchandising, signage and pricing labels
- Maintain accounts payable files, ensure completion of monthly expense reports
- Manage donation request processes, including fulfillment and redemption
- Assist in coordination, preparation, facilitation and breakdown of special events
- Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- 2-plus years of experience in operations or customer service
- Experience with cash handling, scheduling or accounts payable processes
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational, supervisory, and communication skills
- Must be highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication
- Must be able to function in a high energy team environment
- Inventory and sales experience a plus
