Science & Engineering Day
This Labor Day weekend, embark on a STEM-filled adventure during Science & Engineering Day on Saturday, September 5! Whether you're enjoying a staycation at home or a socially-distanced trip this holiday weekend, there's fun for the whole family to enjoy during this special day full of educational activities.
Free Online Activity Schedule:
10:00 a.m. - Grab your jetpacks as we fly through Earth's atmosphere in our education activity video. You'll make a stop at the troposphere to get lost in the clouds and discover how they form.
12:30 p.m. - Enjoy a special storytime with Ms. Whitney featuring The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires.
2:00 p.m. - As you enter outer space, use your imagination to help astronauts create an asteroid mining machine with our blog activity.
This virtual event will be hosted on the Museum's Facebook page. On the day of the event, check our page for the listed activities and give us a follow to be notified when we go live.
Your science and engineering adventure wouldn't be feasible without electricity! Limited-edition activity kits are available for purchase through September 2. Kits include everything you need to complete a star circuit activity, plus exclusive access to an instructional video and storytime with a Museum educator.
