Last Friday of Every Month
10:00am - 11:30am
Fun Animal Fridays is an educational program that takes place on the last Friday of every month. Each program includes an opportunity to meet fun, furry animals, hear a special storytime, and participate in a themed craft or activity. Each Fun Animal Friday features a different theme and animal.
Fun Animal Fridays are part of the Museum’s mission to provide hands-on educational experiences for children to learn about our world. The opportunity to meet animals inspires curiosity and learning about animal science, along with a guided educational workshop to add context and new information for discovery. Opportunities to pet the animals are limited and timed-tickets will be provided upon checking in.

What safety precautions can I expect from the museum?
Guest and animal safety is our number one priority. On the day of the event, Museum staff will communicate any special rules or directions to allow everyone to learn in a safe environment. All guests who choose to participate in petting the animals will be asked to use hand sanitizer before and after contact with the animal. As a precaution, we also encourage hand-washing in our restrooms after coming in contact with the animals. Only healthy animals will be allowed on Museum grounds for the safety of guests, staff, and our own animal residences. Depending on the animal, there will be times where guests will be able to hold or participate in other animal handling practices at the discretion of the lead Fun Animal Friday staff and owner of the animals. Lastly, the animals are constantly monitored for stress. In the event of stress, guests will be asked to only look at the animals or the animal will be removed from the crowd in order for them to feel comfortable again. For any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Museum.
