Make a mural just like the Mexican artist Diego Rivera!

Diego Rivera is a Mexican artist. He is well known for his large murals on buildings and walls that represented different aspects of his community and country. Sometimes, he painted the challenges his country or community were facing. He did this to help others understand the challenges and improve it. Diego Rivera was influenced by the large murals of Renaissance painters like Michelangelo, as well as modern cubist painters who focused on the lines and shapes of objects. Today you will get to paint a mural about your community just like Diego Rivera!
Materials
4-6 pieces of white paper (or 1 large piece of butcher paper)
Tape
A fence or wall
Markers, crayons, or paint
Directions
Step 1
Think of something that is important to you and your community. This could be a problem that you want to shine light on OR something you want to celebrate!
Step 2
Tape 4-6 pieces of paper together.
Step 3
Tape your large piece of paper to a fence or wall.
Step 4
Start to draw your idea!
Step 5
Color in all of the details.
